\(\frac{{{A_1} + {A_2} + {A_3} + {A_4} \ldots {A_{16}}}}{{16}} = {A_{avg}}\)
\({A_1} + {A_2} + {A_3} + {A_4} \ldots + {A_{16}} = 16 \times {A_{avg}}\)
Average after 17th innings
\(\frac{{{A_1} + {A_2} + {A_3} + {A_4} \ldots {A_{16}} + 87}}{{17}} = {A_{avg}} + 3\)
\(16 \times {A_{avg}} + 87 = 17({A_{avg}} + 3)\)
Aavg = 87 – 51 = 36
