Development length \({l_d} = \frac{{{\rm{\Phi }}{\sigma _{st}}}}{{4{\tau _{bd}}}} \)

Calculation:

Development length \({l_d} = \frac{{{\rm{\Phi }}{\sigma _{st}}}}{{4{\tau _{bd}}}} = \frac{{12 \times \left( {0.87 \times 415} \right)}}{{4 \times \left( {1.6 \times 1.2} \right)}}\)

= 564 mm

Now \({l_d} \not > \frac{{1.3M}}{V} + {l_o}\)

\(564 \not > \frac{{1.3 \times 50 \times {{10}^6}}}{{250 \times {{10}^3}}} + {l_0} \Rightarrow {l_o} = 304mm \simeq 310mm\)
