SOLUTION

Given man height = 6 ft

Shadow = 4 ft

Let Pole height = x ft

Shadow height = 36 ft

Here distance between pole and man not given so taken separately.

Properties of similar triangles will be used, i.e. the ratio of height to base of both triangles is equal.

\(\frac{{6ft}}{{4ft}} = \frac{{xft}}{{36ft}}\) 

x = 54 ft
