As we see in the figure,
Length of the room, l = 16 m.
Breadth of the room, b = 12 m.
Height of the room, h = 15 m.
The room is cuboidal in shape.
∴ length of the largest rod that can be placed in the room = length of the diagonal(d)
⇒ √(162 + 122 + 152)
⇒ √(256 + 144 + 225)
⇒ √625
⇒ 25 m.
