How many litres of water flows out of a pipe having an area of cross-section of 5cm2 in one minute, if the speed of water in the pipe is 30 cm/sec?

Please scroll down to see the correct answer and solution guide.

Right Answer is:

SOLUTION

Speed of water = 30 cmsec
Water flow in 1 minute = 30 cm × 60
= 1800 cm
Area of cross- section = 5 cm2
Volume of water = 1800 × 5 = 9000 cm3
Capacity of water in liters = 9000 × 1 ml
= 9000 ml = 90001000 = 9 liters
