Assume the transistor is in saturation

Applying KVL at input loop

–3 + 0.8 + (10K)IB sat = 0

IB sat = 0.22 mA

Applying KVL at output loop

–12 + (1.18K)IC sat + 0.2 = 0

Clearly βIB sat > IC sat

So, transistor is in saturation
