Right Answer is: D
SOLUTION
Types of the plane: There are two types of planes used in engineering drawing:
- Perpendicular planes
- Oblique planes
Perpendicular planes: The planes which are perpendicular to one or both the reference planes i.e. H.P. and V.P. are called perpendicular planes. These planes can be:
I. A plane perpendicular to the H.P. and parallel to the V.P.
II. A plane perpendicular to the V.P. and parallel to the H.P.
III. A plane perpendicular to both the reference planes i.e. H.P. and V.P.
IV. A plane perpendicular to the H.P. and inclined to the V.P. These planes are called auxiliary vertical planes (A.V.P.).
V. A plane perpendicular to the V.P. and inclined to the H.P. These planes are called auxiliary inclined planes (A.I.P.).
Oblique Planes: The planes which are inclined to both the reference planes i.e. H.P. and V.P. are called oblique planes.
