We have drawn the figure according to the information given in the question,
1) Point N is 2 km to the North of point M.
2) Point O is 4 km to the West of point N and point P is 5 km to the South of point O.
3) Point Q is 7 km to the East of point P while point R is 8 km to the North of point Q.
4) Point S is 3 km to the West of point R and point T is 2 km to the North of point S.
Now distance between M and T = MN + (QR – OP) + ST
= 2 + (8 – 5) + 2
= 2 + 3 + 2
= 7 kms
Hence, distance between M and T is 7 kms.
