M.Arch course was a two year course, having four semesters each of 6 months. Tuition fee for each semester was Rs. 2,50,000. She took hostel to stay, her hostel charges were Rs. 5500/per month and extra expenses per month were Rs. 3400.

SOLUTION
The salary earned during internship = 3 × 12000 = Rs. 36000
Total expenditure on rent in 3 months = 3 × 600 = Rs. 18000
Total expenditure on other expenses in 3 months = 3 × 400 = Rs. 12000
Total expenditure = 18000 + 12000 = Rs. 30000
∴ Required ratio = 36000 ∶ 30000 = 6 ∶ 5
