Different CAG system vendors offer different types of operator input devices. These devices can be input into 3 general categories.

  1. Cursor control devices (direct keys on the keyboard, joysticks, tracker balls etc.)
  2. Digitizers (large smooth board with an electronic tracking device)
  3. Alphanumeric and other keyboard terminals.
