| The top of two poles of height 24 cm and 36 cm are connected with a wire. If the wire makes an angle of 60° with the horizontal, then find the length of the wire.
A. 4√3 cm
B. 8√3 cm
C. 6√3 cm
D. 3√3 cm

Right Answer is: B
SOLUTION
FORMULAE USED:
sin θ = Perpendicular/Hypotenuse
CALCULATION:
From the figure,
Length of the wire is FE,
In ΔEFD,
sin60° = ED/FE = (36 - 24)/FE
⇒ FE = 8√3 cm
∴ Length of the wire = 8√3 cm
